New Frontiers on Earth’s surface are gone. No one can claim any new land except in the last two remaining frontiers, the ocean and space. No one organization really has the authority to police the global seafloor. Cosmos is poised to create enough wealth to be able to fund new frontiers in both the ocean and space, wealth picked up off the ocean floor.
To get to space, we need to gather resources here on earth to fund our overall mission. Mining the ocean floor is one the first steps to manifest our goal of human cultivation of space.
Underwater Mining
As far as engineering challenges go, mining the deep sea is a complicated and expensive endeavor however The engineering accomplishments necessary to make that profitable go hand in hand with the ultimate goal of mining asteroids in space as stated above. Cosmos Deep Sea mining operations will be the foundation of the future space superiority that Cosmos will be known for. The ability to mine the seafloor with minimal effects to the surroundings will allow cosmos to provide many of the raw resources needed for it’s future missions and profit enough to take it to the next level. Focus and transparency in the sustainability and environments in efforts Cosmos does during its operations will highlight the positives of our endeavor.
Design and production of Submersible Tech
Deep Sea mining equipment capable of retrieving cobalt – nickel nodules from the seafloor and equipment capable of digging large swafts of the seafloor mining silty and rocky conditions are the two types of Cosmos focuses it’s engineering. Both types utilize suction from a containerized processing plant on the deck of any large sized vessel. Cosmos has the design and production capacities to produce a fleet.
Autonomous Exploration
Cosmos employs AI driven seafloor exploration drones that have a 72 hour mission life that search for good mining conditions and scan for evidence of life to minimize disturbance to the environment. Good grounds will be chosen by AI that references past success and failures based on collection metrics.
Containerized Operations
Every aspect of the Cosmos Deep Sea mining equipment is capable of fitting in standard shipping containers. From the computational container that controls the AI drones to the mission control container to the generators to the processing and mining equipment containers, all aspects can be shipped easily around the world fast and deploy onboard ships safely and in record time.

The first necessity for permanent human habitation under water will certainly either be for scientific research or homes for deep sea mining technician. Inextricably, deep sea mining and deep sea habitats are interwoven elements of the same future of developing new frontiers under the sea. Fearless leaders are needed to bring undersea habitation to the attention and interest of the masses.
Mission & About Us
There are two factors that separate the two industries. They are microgravity vs buoyancy and vacuum vs pressure. Otherwise the similarities are both technical and practical. Humans require the same sustenance in both conditions. The deeper you go in a submersible the thicker the hull will be. Our flagship standard 8m wide pressure vessel is designed for the vacuum of space and is good to 90ft depth into the ocean. Both platforms share our standard interlock system that is NASA compliant. The design is modular and designed to stack many modules together using prefabricated habitat hulls as well as smaller tunnel hulls, in both 90, T, 45 and 22.5 degree variations.
The funding of this enterprise will be gathered off the bottom of the ocean. Cosmos initial prime income will be derived from subsea mining utilizing remotely operated bottom dredging mining vehicles. The nodules contain rare earth minerals that are formed via hydrothermal vents on the bottom of the ocean. The nodules are then suctioned up to the mothership for sorting and processing.
The secondary income for Cosmos will be a GEO small sat constellation for use in satellite phone technology. These satellites will be outfitted with the latest satellite to satellite optical transmission for the benefit of the user. This will allow two satellite phones anywhere on the earth to communicate with the minimum amount of hop possible decreasing lag. GEO orbit allows us to decrease the amount of satellites necessary for a full constellation and the optical satellite to satellite communication decreases pops necessary to the ground to pass along the message.
